Consumo de morera (Morus alba) fresca mezclada con ensilaje de maÍz por el ganado jersey en crecimiento

Con el objetivo de determinar la efectividad de la mezcla de morera con ensilaje de maíz en novillas Jersey, se llevó a cabo un estudio en la Estación Experimental Alfredo Volio Mata de la Universidad de Costa Rica localizada en Ochomogo, Cartago, Costa Rica en el año 2007. Se ofrecieron tres mezclas de morera fresca finamente picada con ensilaje de maíz en proporciones morera:ensilaje de 36:64, 46:54 y 56:44. Se utilizaron animales hembra raza Jersey entre los 200 y los 311 kg. Se recolectaron muestras del material ofrecido y rechazado para el análisis de materia seca, proteína bruta, fibra neutro detergente y cenizas totales. No se encontraron diferencias significativas en el consumo por parte de los animales ni entre los niveles bromatológicos, independientemente del grado de inclusión de la morera.Downloads
