Bribri is an ergative language of the Chibchan family, and is spoken by perhaps 4500 people in the southern part of Costa Rica. There are at least three dialects areas: Amubre and Coroma near the Atlantic coast, and Salitre-Cabagra near the Pacific coast. This latter is the object of this study.
