Abstract
Research on math teacher preparation advises us to consider reflection as an important aspect in preparing teachers that can become reflective practitioners. Therefore, a system of evaluation of the teaching/learning process in the preparation of math teachers is proposed that is more in accord with current tendencies in Math Education. Concretely, it is proposed that we value the professional knowledge of students that comes from their reflections on the teaching/learning process that they produce as they maintain a portfolio as part of their student teaching. That way it is hoped that conclusions from this kind of work can provide information not only for the field of Math Education, but also, given the lack of this kind of research, for other field as well.Comments
