ABSTRACT

The following review is centered on The Lost Thing (1999), the first literary work by illustrator and writer Shaun Tan and its later adaptation to the homonymous short film in 2011. The existence of the printed text adapted to animated film is what encourages the present analysis which focuses on form and gets away from any possibility of symbolic interpretations. The basic characteristics of this unconventional adaptation and the questionable attachment to the original text are the points that stand out in this comparative study.
}, number={2}, journal={Revistarquis}, author={Sanabria, Carolina}, year={2014}, month={nov.} }
