Impacto de la Satisfacción con el Viaje Diario en el Bienestar Subjetivo: Estudio de Caso durante Covid-19

Resumen

Con el fin de orientar las políticas de transporte y movilidad hacia el bienestar, es indispensable caracterizarlo en relación con la satisfacción asociada a los desplazamientos. Este estudio, centrado en la comunidad de la Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR), empleó modelos de ecuaciones estructurales (SEM) como marco metodológico. A finales de 2020 se aplicó un cuestionario en línea mediante muestreo por conveniencia; las respuestas se procesaron en R para configurar variables latentes. El SEM permitió estimar las relaciones entre estas variables mediante regresiones y se complementó con un enfoque MIMIC (múltiples causas, múltiples indicadores) para analizar efectos de características sociodemográficas y de viaje. Los resultados muestran que la satisfacción con el viaje diario a la UCR ejerce un efecto directo sobre el bienestar, incluso durante la virtualidad impuesta por la COVID-19. Se identificó además que el tiempo de viaje es el atributo de mayor peso en la satisfacción con el desplazamiento. Asimismo, los modos activos y privados se asocian con mayores niveles de satisfacción con el viaje y de bienestar subjetivo. Entre las limitaciones, destaca la representatividad mermada por el muestreo por conveniencia y las restricciones de movilidad durante la pandemia, lo que puede afectar la generalización a contextos pospandémicos y a otras poblaciones.
