Doctor in History and Literature from the University of Seville and Master in Latin American Literature from the University of Costa Rica. Professor of Latin American Literature and Costa Rican Literature at the School of Philology, Linguistics and Literature and coordinator of the Central American Colonial Studies Program of the Linguistic Research Institute of the University of Costa Rica. He is a full member of the Costa Rican Academy of Language. His greatest field of interest is the Central American colonial literature, especially the relations of parties.
