Abstract

Information technologies provide computer tools that allow the implementation of online dispute resolution, including arbitration. Nowadays, online arbitration offers its participants significant time and financial cost savings; it is efficient and fast, so the trend to use it is increasing and irreversible. Online arbitration maintains its inherent nature; it transforms the infrastructure where the process is developed into an electronic environment. Therefore, it is important to implement good practices to adequately inform and guide the activity of participants in a digital environment. This study presents a set of good practices to apply in the context of online arbitration, which contributes to an informed management of this type of arbitration.
