Resumen
Este estudio analiza la producción escrita de un grupo de estudiantes de inglés como lengua extranjera con el fin de determinar los errores en que incurren en lo que respecta al uso de los artículos de la lengua inglesa. Los resultados muestran que el tipo más común de error en todos los niveles tiende a ser el uso excesivo de los artículos. Esto sucedió en seis de los ocho grupos estudiados. Este tipo representa entre el 40.0 y el 58.82% de los errores. Se postula que al menos en parte esto se debe a interferencia de la lengua materna. Hay evidencia de que este uso excesivo tiende a disminuir a medida que los estudiantes mejoran su competencia lingüística.Citas
