Abstract
The results that have been obtained from an experience with a focus on didactics of the sciences in teacher preparation program that combined math, physics and chemistry are shown. First, the general objective for that focus is presented, followed by a summary of the arguments given in relation to the different stances taken in the debate about the appropriateness of using different degrees of integration of the scientific disciplines in both pre-university and university education. Then the fundamental elements of this experience of teacher preparation are analyzed from their advantages, disadvantages, limits and opportunities. To conclude, a final assessment of the experience is presented with a projection on what is expected in the near future.Comments
