Abstract

This paper classifies the words in D. 50. 16 according to three categories: words related to semantic field of women, etymologies and Greek words. So it is possible to show how Romans understood the phenomenon of women, what kind of methods they used to explain the meaning of legal terms and the presence and importance of the Greek language in a bilingual context.
