The possible negative effects of the use of artificial intelligence on the human mind are analyzed, as well as its eventual benefits. The objective of the research is to discuss the dichotomy between the pros and cons of AI in people's cognitive abilities, concluding the research by pointing out the importance of ethics as a means for the use of these AI tools as a form of orientation.
