The Community Service Program (TCU) 689 of the University of Costa Rica aims to strengthen libraries and information units through knowledge management, digital literacy, reading promotion, and cultural engagement. This article analyzes the perceptions of those in charge of participating in libraries regarding the project's impact on their institutions. A mixed-methods approach was applied using a questionnaire with 13 coordinators and collaborators, combining quantitative and qualitative analysis, integrated through triangulation to validate findings and enrich perceptions about the TCU. The results show an overall positive assessment of the project, highlighting the value of interdisciplinary work and student commitment. Additionally, areas for improvement were identified, including communication, coordination, and content relevance. It is concluded that TCU 689 is a valuable tool for library enhancement and university social outreach.
