Abstract

The Camping Hill is a design proposal made by Jose Daniel Picado García and Irena
Fonseca Alvarado for the “Social Distancing. Housing Block. Theme 0: Pandemic
Society” competition, from the Non Architecture Competition organization. This proposal
was selected as one of the winners of the contest. Therefore, this review is developed
with the intention of expanding both the conceptual ideas and the motives contemplated
in the projection of the proposal, covering two main themes: the questioning of the
domestic space from the logic of social distancing and the role of the representation
and the images in the architectural design process. Through a descriptive discourse,
it is intended to highlight the contrasts between the programmatic requirements of a
project and the personal experiences of those who design it. Finally, it is chosen to
describe certain aspects considered in the process of making, design, and mounting of
the images.
