  1. Static Penetration Resistance Test of Geotextiles According to Argentine Standards

This paper primarily aims to provide a solution to the issue of performing the static penetration test on geotextiles, through the implementation of low-cost techniques and the adaptation of existing equipment available in laboratories or road research centers.

To set the context for the reader, we will begin with a brief definition of geotextile, outline the types available on the market, describe the tests that must be carried out on these materials, and highlight the importance of the static penetration test.

Finally, we will discuss in detail the adaptation of the equipment for the proper execution of the test and share the initial experiences carried out at our research center.

  1. "Why Law 8114? A Lever to Drive National Development"

In the pursuit of a National Development strategy, it is important to recognize that there is no developed country in the world without an excellent road network. Therefore, this must be considered a necessary—though not sufficient—condition for development.

The course and progress of National Development are shaped by political, economic, social, environmental, and international variables, the latter now amplified by globalization processes. However, despite the wide range of influencing factors, few have as drastic an impact as the quality of road infrastructure.

  2. Foamed Asphalt – Technology and Applications

Foamed, expanded, or cellular asphalt is a relatively recent technology, although its use has been documented since 1957. Foamed asphalt is a technique that allows the expansion and mixing of asphalt with various types of aggregates to produce economical pavement structures with relatively high load-bearing capacity.
