  1. Effect of Entrapped Water in Asphalt Mixtures, Phase 2

Over the past 24 months, the inspection of plants and process audits conducted by Lanamme-UCR identified a particular case involving a construction company that, at two asphalt plants located in different sites, was producing asphalt mix with a high degree of boiling. This raised concerns about the effect of this phenomenon on the properties of the asphalt mixture.

  2. Impact on the Properties of Asphalt and an MDC – 1 Asphalt Mix When Adding SBR

As is well known, the use of polymers in the preparation of asphalt mixtures dates back more than half a century. In countries with more advanced technology, laboratory tests are conducted related to the behavior of polymer-modified asphalt mixtures. Projects are developed to improve pavement performance, resulting in significantly longer design periods and service life compared to conventional pavements.

Technical papers

  1. Determination of the Optimum Binder Content

The traffic safety requirements currently demanded of road surfaces have led to the development of materials with different characteristics than those traditionally known. The Drainage Asphalt Mix (DAM), also known as Porous Asphalt Mix (PAM), is a material that meets these requirements.

  2. Road Safety Audit for Highways

What is a Road Safety Audit?

It is a technical evaluation carried out by a team of auditors specialized in road and bridge safety, aimed at identifying infrastructure-related factors that may contribute to traffic accidents or increase their severity, as well as conflicts in the operation of vehicles and other road users.
