Perpetraçao do cyberstalking em relacionamentos íntimos: a personalidade e a variável sexo são preditores?

Objetivo. Verificar o poder preditivo dos traços de personalidade nos comportamentos de perpetração do cyberstalking, controlando a variável sexo. Método. Participaram 267 pessoas que vivenciaram ou estavam vivenciando um relacionamento íntimo. Foram aplicados a Intimate Partner Cyberstalking Scale, o Inventário dos Cinco Grandes Fatores da Personalidade e questões sociodemográficas. Resultados. As análises demonstraram que o traço de personalidade neuroticismo explicou a perpetração do cyberstalking (β = 0.20, t = 3.30, p > 0.01), enquanto a variável sexo não apresentou influência significativa. Conclui-se que existe uma tendência do perpetrador de cyberstalking apresentar um elevado escore no neuroticismo, todavia, ressalta-se a importância de se desenvolver mais pesquisas sobre a temática, as quais poderão ajudar a elaborar estratégias de intervenção direcionadas aos perpetradores.
