Abstract
The validation of two analytical methods by gas chromatography was performed, in order to evaluate the quality of biodiesel (B100) and its usefulness as fuel. The performed methods were: determination of total content of fatty acid methyl esters (FAME) and determination of free and total glycerol content. Standards IN 14103: 2011 and ASTM D6584-13 were used as reference respectively. The performance parameters evaluated and documented for the two methods in the study were: linearity, detection limit and quantification limit, precision by repeatability and intermediate repeatability, truenes through a recovery test. Based on the evaluation of performance parameters and acceptance criteria it was concluded that the two methods are statistically and analytically under control; also both methods allow to establish a continuous assessment; demonstrating that the analytical procedures used are suitable for use as a routine screening test at CELEQ.Comments
