Abstract
La siguiente discusión analiza las formas en que nuestros conceptos de espacio se transforman en criterios de lugar, especialmente en lo relacionado con esferas de género. En 'El Crisantemo', el contexto patriarcal circunscribe no sólo el espacio personal de Elisa Allen sino también su identidad personal y social en formas que limitan severamente su individualidad y satisfacción.
