Abstract
This article analyzes the importance Virilla River has had in the everyday life of Tibás people. In the past, the Virilla River’s bed played a key role as a social meeting point by creating friendly ties, sociability, and brotherly feelings among tiba- seños. Those elements fortified and consolidated an already existing local identity. Further-more, this study’s goal is to rescue Virilla River as an everyday life space within Tibás history. Moreover, I will take advantage of that discussion in order to think about our natural environment which is experiencing important problems that have put it in an imminent danger.Comments
