Abstract

The fundamentals of Latinamerican Baroque religious images, followed less triumphal and mystics models than those developed in Europe over the same period.. The intentions for the new world, were grounded on guilt and repentance, thereby demonstrating complex propaganda machinery. In this sculptural trend, nothing is casual, the elaborate constructions are carefully orchestrated, in which the color, drama and gestures have a transcendent site.
