Abstract
The present article corresponds to the second part of the study: “Notes about the historical trajectory of the tobacco plantation in the Palmares country”. Different from the first article, this one has as a main objective to reconstruct the tobacco history by means of the discourse in this alajuelense county, for that reason , it considers testimonies of people who in one way or the other were related with the cultivation, processing, and commercialization of this product. Also, a series of day-to-day elements related to the “handling” of a tabacal (pick up leaves, drying and empabilado), as well as the elaboration of the pure, “cuecha” and cigarettes, among others, were incorporated.Comments
