Abstract
Literature can be understood as an alternative discursive strategy in the construction and communication of historical knowledge. Its particularity resides in the intensive use of resources such as fiction and imagination. The topic is developed starting with a brief revision of the Paraguayan writer Augusto Roa Bastos’s literary project, moving into a reflection on the “discovery” of America and its versions by conquerors and conquered.Comments
