Resumen

El artículo estudia la filosofía de Edmundo Burke para invitarnos a releer las importantes filosofías políticas y jurídicas que intentaron explicar importantes conceptos, tales como la esencia de la naturaleza humana, la supuesta idea del 'Estado de Naturaleza', el contrato social, los 'derechos naturales' del hombre, y la legitimidad democrática.
