Abstract
From a historiographical perspective, the paper discusses the application of the principles of territorial delimitation, self-determination and peaceful resolution of disputes in the case on territorial delimitation between Belize, Guatemala and Mexico during XIX and XX centu- ries. This case is a significative example of one of the most interesting issues in Central America: the establishment of its boundaries after the independence process of the first two decades of the nineteenth century.Comments
