Abstract
This study portrays the historical background related to the convening of the 1949 Constituent Assembly, and it specifically discusses which political parties were involved and the outcome of the election. It shows that a significant number of the assembly members elected were members of the so-called Dynasty of the Conquerors. It also refers to initial agreements and actions of the Assembly, and it then presents a number of interesting pieces of information on the Assembly, and it concludes with a brief biography of constituent members.References
