Abstract
In this second contribution to the knowledge of monogenetic trematodes from fishes of the Pacitic Ocean, Zeuxapta seriolae (Meserve, 1938) Price, 1962, from the gills of Caranx hippos, collected in Zihuatanejo Bay, Gro., is rediscribed; it is compared with Zeuxapta japonica (Yamaguti, 1940) Yamaguti, 1963. A new record of host and a new locality are given for the fishes of México.
Two more species of monogenetic trematodes are reported as parasites in gills of Caranx hippos: Pseudomazocraes monsivaisae Caballero & Bravo, 1955 from Puerto Escondido, Oax., and Protomicrocotyle manteri Bravo, 1967 from Salina Cruz, Oax. Both localities are new in Mexico.
