Abstract
The author takes in consideration 278 cases of caneer of the cervix uteri that has been observed during the years 1950-52 in the "Clinica de Tumores de Costa Rica". After explained shortly the reason for which he limited tq study this type of neoplasm, he considers the geographic distribution of the patients and their costums, race, hygiene and the climatical conditions. Some considerations have been made in relation to the first menstruation, age, pregnancy, syphilis, menopause, stage, histological and cytological diagnosis and finally the author tries to show the importance of the genital hygienc in the women as profilactic against the neoplasm of the cervix.Comments
