Abstract
Three cases are reported of chinese residents in Nicaragua showing nervous disorders; two of then had been diagnosed in American clinics as chronic hepatitis patients. Their Cantonese origin and the symtomatology suggested the possibility of clonorchiasi, sinensis. Stool tests had been negative for Clonorchis. A simple procedure was then tried out which gave good results: that of injecting a lipotropic complex and examining the feces 48 hours later. In such circumstances all three patients showed abundant Clonorchis eggs.Comments
