Abstract
In August, during the rainy season, thousands of quiescent adults of Megacephala sobrina were found' in individual burrows about 5 c deep in the vertical bank of a river in the Province of Guanacaste, Costa Rica. The beetle rested in a distinctive position and were not easily disturbed. Te closure had often been eroded away by rain but beetles with burrows opened in this way were apparently healthy and made no attempt to close their burrows.Comments
