El Área de Conservación Osa (ACOSA) en el Pacífico sur de Costa Rica, es uno de los sitios biodiversos más importantes del mundo. En su zona marina destacan las formaciones coralinas, las playas de anidación y zonas de agregación de tortugas marinas, los sistemas de humedales, las playas arenosas y costa rocosa, agregaciones de rayas y tiburones, los peces marinos y su geomorfología.
