Abstract

The objective of this research is to highlight the role of new social and political actors the Communists- in the design and implementation of health policies and social protection during the Costa Rican liberal period. Furthermore, it identifies and analyzes the new dimensions permeated by the Communists into the political duties and social policies, which are deemed a right, within a framework of justice and social redistribution.
