Abstract

The article sets forth a series of considerations on the development and perspectives of the Revista de Historia (History Journal) as a publication that boasts indisputable relevance at the Central American historiographic level. From a critical standpoint, the author analyzes the ways in which the journal has been subject to paradigmatic changes in the field of history, as well as to the dynamics innate to the epistemological community to which it belongs, underscoring the journal’s challenges, present and future, especially those related with increasing the range of subject areas and the journal’s means of diffusion. Finally, the author carries out a contextualized presentation of the articles contained in issues numbers 51 and 52 of the History Journal.
