Abstract

The main objective of this study is to analyse the factors that determine the price of sexual services provided by female sex workers. The sample consists of 42 women who are members of the La Sala Association. The article shows that the sex workers behave rationally, as predicted by economic theory. It also concludes that the main factors determining the price of sexual services are age, additional employment and condom use.
