Abstract

From a Foucauldian perspective, discourse analysis implies an archeological and genealogical evaluation; therefore, this article
addresses the main aspects that must be assessed to unveil the intentionality, directionality and historical a priori of propositions within the discourse in order to determine how the regime of truth is constructed within a context and to evaluate the power effects that are produced.
