Abstract
Thanks to the platforms offered by new technologies, a new form of virtual religiosity called cybershamanism has emerged, and with it the so-called neo-shamans or virtual shamans. This paper observes the adaptation that traditional Korean shamanism and shamans have undergone through participant observation research in two institutions in the capital of South Korea. Likewise, the academic debate between tradition and modernity in this field will be analyzed.
