Resumen

El propósito de esta investigación es comparar el efecto del pre-asentamiento previo a la cementación en la cantidad de exceso de cemento extruído en la interfase entre la corona y el pilar y analizar la fuerza tensional asociada luego del cementado. Se evaluó la variable del pre-asentamiento de una corona en un análogo del pilar. Diez cofias de coronas se cementaron con cemento temporal en diez pilares rectos. La cantidad del exceso de cemento en los márgenes de las coronas fue medido por peso. La fuerza tensional axial fue medida a las 24 horas después del cementado. Los resultados fueron analizados estadísticamente utilizando ANOVA de una vía (p= 0.05). El pre-asentamiento tuvo un efecto significativo en la cantidad del exceso de cemento en el margen de la corona (p<0.05) sin afectar significativamente la resistencia a fuerza tensil. Al cementar coronas sobre pilares de implantes con cemento temporal, se puede recomendar un protocolode pre-asentamiento pues este reduce la cantidad de cemento extruído sin afectar la resistencia a tensión.
