FAMACHA © Control de Haemonchosis en caprinos. La parasitosis es un problema que reduce considerablemente los ingresos en toda explotación caprina, la metodología tradicional de control se fundamenta en la aplicación de productos veterinarios, y su uso desmedido aumenta la resistencia en los parásitos. Ante tal situación aparece dentro del contexto de un programa integrado el método FAMACHA© que relaciona la coloración de la conjuntiva del ojo con el estado anémico ocasionado por el parásito Haemonchus contortus. Este método permite desparasitar selectivamente a los animales más afectados y a su vez realizar una selección de individuos resistentes a esta patología, reduciendo el empleo de los desparasitantes.Downloads
