El Papel del Apego Parental y la Regulación Emocional en la Inversión Esquemática en la Apariencia en Adultos Jóvenes

Los vínculos afectivos que se establecen en la infancia pueden tener efectos en el desarrollo emocional de los jóvenes. El apego seguro puede potenciar la capacidad de regulación emocional, proporcionar una imagen más positiva de uno mismo y, por lo tanto, favorecer conductas de inversión en la apariencia más ajustadas. Este estudio tiene como objetivo analizar el papel del apego parental y la regulación emocional en la inversión esquemática en la apariencia. Se utilizaron instrumentos de autoinforme en una muestra de 948 adultos jóvenes (entre 18 y 30 años) de ambos sexos. El estudio destacó el papel significativo que tienen la calidad del apego parental y la regulación emocional en el desarrollo de una inversión ajustada en la apariencia. Los resultados mostraron el efecto mediador positivo de las dificultades en la regulación emocional entre la inhibición de la exploración y la individuación materna y la saliencia autoevaluativa.
