Procesamiento fonológico, velocidad, precisión y comprensión lectora en la población infantil con TEA, epilepsia y comorbilidad

Resumen

Objetivo. El presente estudio comparó el rendimiento en procesamiento fonológico, velocidad, precisión y comprensión lectora en 170 niños de 7 a 9 años con diagnósticos de TEA, epilepsia, y ambos de forma comórbida. Para ello, se emplearon los instrumentos PROLEXIA y PROLEC-R. Método.Los datos obtenidos fueron analizados a través de análisis MANOVA para evaluar diferencias entre los grupos. Resultados. Los resultados mostraron que los niños con TEA y epilepsia comórbida presentaron rendimientos inferiores en todas las áreas evaluadas en comparación con los grupos solo con TEA o solo con epilepsia, sugiriendo un peor rendimiento sobre las habilidades de lectura medidas en aquellos participantes que presentan un diagnóstico comórbido de TEA y epilepsia.
