El Apego Parental y el Comportamiento Problemático en los adolescentes: el papel mediador de la autoestima

Objetivo. El objetivo de este estudio era analizar el papel de la autoestima como mediador en la relación entre el apego parental y el comportamiento disruptivo. Método. Para realizar el presente estudio, se seleccionó por conveniencia a un total de 300 adolescentes de entre 12 y 17 años de cuatro centros de enseñanza secundaria de Chittagong, Bangladesh. Se utilizaron tres escalas psicológicas para recopilar datos en este estudio. Resultados. Los resultados del presente estudio revelaron que el 42.33 % de los adolescentes mostraba niveles moderados de comportamiento disruptivo. Los adolescentes con comportamiento disruptivo presentaban niveles de apego significativamente más bajos que sus homólogos sin comportamiento disruptivo. La autoestima actuó como mediador de la relación entre el apego materno y el comportamiento disruptivo.
