Abstract
The chronic granulomatous mastitis is a rare condition that affects women in their childbear- ing years, with clinical, mammographic, eco- graphic and hystological characteristics that ressemble a breast carcinoma. Effective proto- cols for the diagnosis and treatment of this dis- ease have been proposed, but none of them have been able to become the gold standard in treat- ment for this group of patients. The purpose of this review is to establish the differential diagno- sis with breast carcinoma and the best approach for this challenging pathology.Comments
