Abstract
The present article explores, from some theoretical referents, pedagogical experiences and diverse reflections, on the existing relation between the pictorial art and the educative practice in the formation and human culture. This connection has been evident since the origins of civilization and has come, after numerous transformations, to the contemporary educational scene, the classroom and the curriculum. In those topics, many aspects of historical, cultural and theoretical nature have been relevant. Far from being a surpassed subject, the bond that maintains the pictorial art with the pedagogical practice is a field where
germinate philosophical considerations and related experiences that can collaborate in the necessary transformation of the education in their levels and scopes. Here some of those elements and experiences and their diverse academic considerations, didactic uses and pedagogical achievements will be described.
