Three Songs for Voice and Piano by Carlos Enrique Vargas Méndez. Edition, Musical and Literary Analysis of the Works

Abstract

This document presents the musical edition of the three works for voice and piano by the Costa Rican composer Carlos Enrique Vargas Méndez (C. E. Vargas). Along with the scores, a theoretical body is provided with historiographic components of the works, as well as the summarized biography of the composer. This theoretical body of the document contemplates a musical and literary analysis of the three artistic songs presented, both indivisible components of this musical genre.
