Resumen

El propósito de este ensayo es dar una visión comprensiva del rol jugado por la comunidad empresarial norteamericana y el gobierno de los Estados Unidos sobre la política exterior hacia Centroamérica durante el período entre 1920 y 1933. Las fuentes utilizadas fueron en su mayoría norteamericanas, ya que la accesibil idadal material estadístico y a los reportes del Departamento de Comercio facilitaron un enorme conocimiento en la construcción de la política económica y de la cuantificación del comercio y la inversión norteamericana en Centroamérica.
