Abstract

My contribution will focus on Leibniz theory of the “petites perceptions insensibles“ in the context of his Nouveaux Essais. We discuss at the beginning the famous example of rumour of the sea and show that Leibniz covers the “petites perceptions insensibles“ in the context of a draft theory of emotions.
