Abstract
The article seeks to introduce the problem of philosophical hermeneutics in Mariátegui’s discussions of Marxism, starting from the identification of four notions present in his work: 1) interpretation, 2) transformation, 3) method, 4) tradition. Also, we explore the senses in the use of the word “interpretation” and deduce the ontological and epistemological presuppositions of its hermeneutical-political vocation. Likewise, we address “Marx’s eleventh thesis on Feuerbach” in relation to the role played by hermeneia and praxis from the theoretical-political experience of a Latin American-Marxism de-centered in Europe. Finally, we analyze the «temporal distance» of the 7 Essays.
