Abstract
Review of the book the catastrophes and the elements, by González Alcantud, J.A.
With a topic that is, unfortunately, very topical, the volume reviewed here addresses the sense of catastrophe from the perspective of cultural history, and Bachelardian phenomenology. After an intense and conscientious work of compilation, the UGR professor apprehends numerous problems, disquisitions and perspectives around the idea of the sense of catastrophe, whose analysis is as complex as it is illuminating.
