El neo-materialismo de Catherine Malabou

El pensamiento de la filósofa francesa Catherine Malabou abarca una importante diversidad de temas, todos los cuales se hallan inscritos en una visión materialista de la realidad. Por esto, tiene sentido hablar, para definir el trabajo filosófico de Malabou, de un neo-materialismo que se ha enfrentado a numerosas filosofías según dos vías complementarias, cada una con muchas consecuencias: por un lado, al proponer desde una hermenéutica materialista nuevas interpretaciones de la filosofía occidental, con ello transformando profundamente esas mismas filosofías usualmente leídas de manera tradicional y sin originalidad; y, por otro lado, al apoyarse sobre diferentes filosofías, no solamente para comentarlas, sino más bien para refutarlas desde un punto de vista encarnado en la materia, en un sentido nuevo de la palabra. Dicho de otra manera, lo que define al trabajo de Malabou, se puede llamar interpretación y refutación criticas. Todas las grandes obras de la tradición filosófica occidental han sido leídos por ella bajo la ley de esa doble lectura critica, con el objetivo de redescubrirlas de manera inédita y subversiva. Esa hermenéutica materialista y critica representa un acontecimiento filosófico decisivo en el pensamiento y la cultura occidentales porque permite entenderlos de una manera singular y inédita.
De allí la necesidad de dedicar un dossier a esa filosofía critica a través las siguientes cinco temáticas:
-La relación del pensamiento de Malabou con la historia de la filosofía occidental desde Spinoza hasta Foucault.
-El descubrimiento por Malabou de problemáticas inéditas en la historia del pensamiento occidental, desde Hegel hasta Derrida.
-La relación de Malabou con el conocimiento científico moderno y contemporáneo en cuanto a las ciencias biológicas y más particularmente la neurobiología.
-el descubrimiento de Malabou de lo que llama un “inconsciente cerebral” en su relación con el psicoanálisis tanto de Freud como de Lacan, quienes rechazan precisamente lo “cerebral”, reduciéndolo a lo “psíquico”.
-Los aportes teóricos y críticos de Malabou sobre el feminismo, la teología racional y sobre el anarquismo, pensados como las tres más importantes tradiciones críticas mediante las cuales esta autora aborda la creación de nuevos conceptos filosóficos.

Catherine Malabou's neo-matarialism

The thought of the French philosopher Catherine Malabou encompasses a significant diversity of themes, all of which are inscribed within a materialist vision of reality. Therefore, it makes sense to speak of a neo-materialism to define Malabou's philosophical work, which has confronted numerous philosophies through two complementary avenues, each with many consequences: on the one hand, by proposing new interpretations of Western philosophy from a materialist hermeneutics, thereby deeply transforming those same philosophies usually read in a traditional and unoriginal manner; and, on the other hand, by relying on different philosophies not only to comment on them but rather to refute them from a standpoint embodied in matter, in a new sense of the word. In other words, what defines Malabou's work can be called critical interpretation and refutation. All the major works of the Western philosophical tradition have been read by her under the law of this double critical reading, with the aim of rediscovering them in an unprecedented and subversive manner. This materialist and critical hermeneutics represents a decisive philosophical event in Western thought and culture because it allows for understanding them in a unique and unprecedented way. Hence the need to dedicate a dossier to this critical philosophy through the following five themes:
-Malabou's relationship with the history of Western philosophy from Spinoza to Foucault.
-Malabou's discovery of unprecedented issues in the history of Western thought, from Hegel to Derrida.
-Malabou's relationship with modern and contemporary scientific knowledge regarding the biological sciences and more particularly neurobiology.
-Malabou's discovery of what she calls a "cerebral unconscious" in its relationship with psychoanalysis from both Freud and Lacan, who precisely reject the "cerebral," reducing it to the "psychic."
-Malabou's theoretical and critical contributions to feminism, rational theology, and anarchism, considered the three most important critical traditions through which this author addresses the creation of new philosophical concepts.
