Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • La petición no ha sido publicada previamente, ni se ha presentado a otra revista (o se ha proporcionado una explicación en Comentarios al editor).
  • El fichero enviado está en formato, Microsoft Word
  • Se han añadido direcciones web para las referencias donde ha sido posible.
  • El texto tiene interlineado simple; el tamaño de fuente es 12 puntos; se usa cursiva en vez de subrayado (exceptuando las direcciones URL); y todas las ilustraciones, figuras y tablas están dentro del texto en el sitio que les corresponde y no al final del todo.
  • El texto cumple con los requisitos bibliográficos y de estilo indicados en las Normas para autoras/es, que se pueden encontrar en Acerca de la revista.
  • Si esta enviando a una sección de la revista que se revisa por pares, tiene que asegurase que las instrucciones en Asegurando de una revisión a ciegas) han sido seguidas.

HOW TO PUBLISH ITEMS IN THIS MAGAZINE:

Before sending an article to the Medical Journal of the UCR, please make sure that it complies with the standards indicated below, otherwise the works are not accepted for initial review.

Make sure that it meets the parameters indicated below, so we will save a lot of time, effort and inconvenience.

GUIDE FOR AUTHORS: GENERALITIES 1-Articles are accepted for publication in this journal as long as they are in the area of ​​health, from basic medical sciences (anatomy, physiology, biochemistry and pharmacology), works of any medical specialty, to topics in the area of ​​Pharmacy, Microbiology, Dentistry, Nursing that have to do with the clinical part. 2-Articles must be unpublished, that is, never before having been published in any other medium. 3-You should not submit the article for evaluation to two magazines simultaneously. 4-The author must sign the corresponding originality letter when submitting the work for evaluation, otherwise it cannot be taken into account. Download the letter here 5-Articles are accepted for publication, both in Spanish and English. Articles in another language are not accepted. 6-The author must submit his work through the website of the Medical Journal (rev.med.ucr@gmail.com) or failing to deliver his article in digital format to the Secretariat of the Department of Pharmacology (third floor of the Faculty of Medicine) of the School of Medicine of the University of Costa Rica, in San Pedro de Montes de Oca, San José, from 8 am to 12 pm from 1 pm at 5 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
