Resumen
Durante seis años se documentaron las observaciones sobre la historia natural de los peces Pomacéntridos en toda las provincias marinas del Archipiélago de Galápagos, con excepción de las islas norteñas, Darwin y Wolf. Este período incluye el fenómeno de " El Niño" de 1982-1983, el cual tuvo fuertes repercusiones sobre la distribución insular de esta familia. Los especímenes fueron colectados y se les tomó fotografías submarinas para establecer el color "in vivo". Se incluye nombres locales, comúnes y científicos, dibujos y descripciones de las 11 especies registradas en las aguas costeras de estas islas.Citas
